Responsible Gaming at bddb
bddb is committed to providing a safe, fair, and enjoyable gaming environment for all players in Bangladesh. Our responsible gaming framework gives you the tools, knowledge, and support to stay in control — because your well-being always comes first.
18+ Age Verification
bddb strictly enforces an 18+ minimum age requirement for all registered players across Bangladesh. All accounts undergo identity and age verification. Any account found to belong to a minor will be permanently closed and all funds returned to the source payment method.
Flexible Deposit Limits
Set a daily, weekly, or monthly BDT deposit ceiling that matches your personal budget. Once activated, a limit takes effect immediately and cannot be increased for a mandatory 24-hour cooling period — giving your future self protection against impulsive decisions.
Session Time Reminders
Track exactly how long you have been playing in your current session with bddb's built-in session timer. Set an optional reminder that alerts you after a chosen duration — a simple nudge that helps you keep gaming as entertainment, not an obligation.
Time-Out Periods
Need a short break from the platform? Activate a time-out of 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days directly from your account settings. During a time-out your account is suspended and you will not receive any marketing communications from bddb.
Self-Exclusion
For players who feel gambling has become a serious concern, bddb offers a long-term self-exclusion option of 6 months, 1 year, or permanent closure. Self-exclusion requests are processed immediately and cannot be reversed during the chosen exclusion period.
24/7 Player Support
Our dedicated support team in Bangladesh Standard Time (BST, UTC+6) is available around the clock to help with responsible gaming queries, account restrictions, and referrals to specialist counselling services. Reach us any time at [email protected].
Section 01
Age Restriction & Eligibility
bddb is an adults-only gaming platform. You must be at least 18 years of age to register an account, make a deposit, or play any game on bddb.app. This rule applies to every player across Bangladesh — whether you are in Dhaka, Chittagong, Sylhet, Khulna, Rajshahi, Barisal, Rangpur, Mymensingh, or Cox's Bazar.
Age verification is conducted as part of the standard Know Your Customer (KYC) process. When you register your bddb account, you are required to confirm that you are 18 years of age or older. At any point during your account lifetime, bddb may request documentary proof of age — such as a copy of your National ID card or passport — before processing withdrawals or granting access to certain features.
Zero Tolerance Policy: bddb operates a zero-tolerance policy for underage gambling. If our verification process reveals that an account holder is under 18, the account will be immediately and permanently closed. Any funds deposited by a minor will be returned to the originating payment method (bKash, Nagad, Rocket, or Upay) after completing the necessary checks. No winnings will be paid out.
Adults who share a household with minors are strongly encouraged to use device-level parental control software to prevent access to gambling websites. Tools such as Net Nanny, Qustodio, or built-in OS parental controls can be configured to block access to online gaming platforms.
If you suspect that a person under 18 has registered or is using a bddb account, please contact our support team immediately at [email protected]. Reports are handled with strict confidentiality and are prioritised for immediate review.
Section 02
Safe Play Principles
Gambling at bddb is designed to be an entertaining leisure activity — not a source of income, not a method of solving financial problems, and not an escape from stress or personal difficulties. The foundation of responsible gaming is understanding and accepting this distinction before you place a single wager.
bddb recommends that all players in Bangladesh follow these core safe play principles at all times:
- Set a budget before you play: Decide in advance how much BDT you are willing to spend in a given session, week, or month. Treat this amount as the cost of entertainment — money you are prepared to lose. Never gamble with funds you cannot afford to lose, including rent, household bills, school fees, or savings.
- Never chase losses: A losing streak is a normal part of gambling — all games at bddb are governed by a certified Random Number Generator (RNG) and the house edge is a mathematical reality. Attempting to recover losses by betting larger amounts or extending your session almost always leads to greater losses. Accept losses as part of the entertainment cost and stop.
- Play sober and alert: Never gamble when you are under the influence of alcohol or substances, when you are emotionally distressed, or when you are fatigued. Sound decision-making is essential to enjoying gambling safely.
- Balance gambling with other activities: Gambling should be one leisure activity among many, not your primary or sole recreational pursuit. Maintain healthy relationships, hobbies, and interests outside of the bddb platform.
- Understand the games you play: Before wagering real BDT on a game, take time to understand its rules, return-to-player (RTP) percentage, and volatility. Knowledge of the game reduces impulsive behaviour and sets realistic expectations.
- Take regular breaks: Long, uninterrupted sessions impair judgement. Use bddb's session timer to remind yourself to step away, have a drink of water, and assess whether you are still playing for enjoyment.
- Keep gambling private and honest: If you feel you need to hide your gambling activity from family members or close friends, that is a significant warning sign that the behaviour may have moved beyond healthy entertainment. Seek support immediately.
Section 03
Deposit & Spending Limits
One of the most effective tools for maintaining control over your gambling is a pre-set deposit limit. bddb allows every registered player to configure a personal deposit ceiling across three time frames: daily, weekly, and monthly. These limits apply to all BDT payment methods available on the platform, including bKash, Nagad, Rocket, and Upay.
How to Set a Deposit Limit: Log in to your bddb account, navigate to the Responsible Gaming section of your account settings, and select "Deposit Limits." Enter your desired daily, weekly, or monthly maximum in BDT and confirm. The limit is applied to your account immediately. No further deposits above the limit will be accepted until the period resets or you request a change.
- Immediate effect for reductions: If you choose to reduce your existing deposit limit, the new lower limit takes effect instantly. bddb does not require a waiting period for limit reductions, recognising that reducing a limit is always a protective action.
- Mandatory cooling period for increases: If you request an increase to an existing deposit limit, bddb applies a mandatory 24-hour cooling-off period before the higher limit becomes active. This delay is intentional — it gives you time to reconsider a decision that may have been made impulsively.
- Combined limit logic: If you set both a weekly and a monthly limit, the more restrictive of the two limits governs at any given time. For example, if your weekly limit of ৳5,000 is reached before your monthly limit of ৳15,000, no further deposits will be accepted until the weekly period resets.
- No override by support staff: bddb support staff cannot override or lift an active deposit limit on a player's behalf. Limit adjustments can only be initiated by the account holder through the account settings panel, subject to the cooling period rules above.
In addition to deposit limits, bddb also offers a loss limit feature. A loss limit sets a ceiling on the net amount you are permitted to lose within a defined period. Once your net losses reach the configured ceiling, your account will be temporarily suspended from further wagering until the relevant period resets. Loss limits can be configured alongside deposit limits for maximum budgetary control.
Section 04
Time-Out & Cooling-Off Tools
Sometimes you need a temporary break from gambling without committing to a long-term self-exclusion. bddb's time-out feature allows you to suspend your account for a defined short period, giving you space to reassess your gaming habits and return to the platform on your own terms when you are ready.
- Available time-out durations: 24 hours, 72 hours, 7 days, or 30 days. During a time-out, your account is fully suspended — you cannot log in, deposit, withdraw, or place wagers on any game including cricket betting, slots, live casino, and card games.
- Marketing suspension during time-out: All promotional emails, bonus notifications, and marketing communications from bddb are automatically suspended for the duration of your time-out. You will not receive Eid campaign offers, BPL season promotions, or any other marketing material during this period.
- Withdrawal during time-out: If you have a positive account balance at the time you activate a time-out, you may contact bddb support at [email protected] to request a withdrawal to your bKash, Nagad, or Rocket wallet. Withdrawal requests during a time-out are processed normally — your access to your own funds is never blocked.
- Time-outs cannot be shortened: Once a time-out is activated, it cannot be cancelled or shortened at the player's request. The suspension runs for the full chosen duration. This is a deliberate protective feature, not a system limitation.
- Returning after a time-out: When your time-out period expires, your account access is automatically restored. bddb may, at its discretion, send a single responsible gaming reminder communication at the point of reactivation — this is not a marketing message but a welfare check.
Session Reminders: Even outside of a formal time-out, bddb provides session duration alerts within the gaming interface. You can configure reminders at 30-minute, 1-hour, or 2-hour intervals. When the alert fires, a notification appears on screen confirming how long your current session has been active and how much you have deposited during that session. This feature is enabled by default for all bddb accounts.
Section 05
Self-Exclusion Programme
Self-exclusion is the most serious responsible gaming tool available at bddb. It is designed for players who have concluded that they need to stop gambling for an extended period, or permanently, and want the platform to enforce that decision on their behalf.
bddb offers three self-exclusion durations: 6 months, 12 months, and permanent closure. All three options carry the same immediate effect — your account is suspended the moment the request is confirmed, and the suspension cannot be reversed during the chosen period under any circumstances.
Self-Exclusion Is Irreversible During the Chosen Period: Unlike a time-out, a self-exclusion cannot be lifted early at the player's request, nor can it be overridden by bddb support staff. If you choose a 12-month self-exclusion, your account will remain closed for a minimum of 12 months regardless of what you tell our support team. We enforce this strictly for your protection.
After a 6-month or 12-month exclusion expires, reactivation is not automatic. You must proactively contact bddb support, complete a responsible gaming review, and confirm in writing that you wish to resume playing. A minimum 7-day reflection period is applied before reactivation is granted.
- How to request self-exclusion: Contact bddb support at [email protected] from your registered email address. State clearly that you wish to self-exclude and specify the duration (6 months, 12 months, or permanent). Your request will be processed within 24 hours and you will receive written confirmation.
- Marketing blackout: All marketing communications are permanently removed from a self-excluded account. bddb will not send promotional emails, SMS messages, or platform notifications of any kind during a self-exclusion period.
- Balance at time of exclusion: Any positive balance remaining in your account at the time of self-exclusion will be paid out to your registered bKash, Nagad, or Rocket wallet within 5 to 7 business days following confirmation of the self-exclusion request. No new deposits can be made after the exclusion is activated.
- Permanent closure: If you choose permanent self-exclusion, your account is closed indefinitely and you will not be permitted to open a new bddb account in the future. This option is recommended for players who have determined that online gambling is not compatible with their long-term well-being.
Section 06
Recognising Problem Gambling
Problem gambling is not always obvious, and it rarely appears suddenly. It typically develops gradually, as occasional gambling shifts from entertainment to compulsion. Recognising the early warning signs — in yourself or in someone you care about — is the first and most important step towards getting help.
bddb's responsible gaming team has identified the following as the most common indicators that gambling may have become a problem:
- Spending more than you can afford: Regularly depositing funds that should be allocated to household expenses, rent, loan repayments, or school fees in Dhaka or elsewhere in Bangladesh.
- Inability to stop: Feeling a strong compulsion to keep playing even after deciding to stop, or returning to the platform immediately after a losing session to "get even."
- Preoccupation with gambling: Spending significant mental energy thinking about past gambling sessions, planning future sessions, or calculating how to fund your next deposit when not actively playing.
- Gambling to escape problems: Using the bddb platform as a way to avoid dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, work pressures, or financial worries.
- Secrecy and dishonesty: Lying to family members, friends, or employers about your gambling activity, or feeling a need to hide your bddb sessions from the people in your life.
- Borrowing money to gamble: Taking loans, selling personal belongings, or borrowing from mobile banking platforms to fund gambling deposits.
- Relationship deterioration: Experiencing significant conflict with family members or friends as a result of the time or money spent on gambling.
- Gambling after a windfall: Being unable to walk away from a winning session and instead continuing to wager until the winnings — and more — are lost.
If you recognise any of these patterns in your own behaviour, please do not dismiss them. Problem gambling is a recognised health condition that responds well to early intervention. Reaching out for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Contact bddb support at [email protected] to discuss your options — including deposit limits, time-out periods, and self-exclusion — in complete confidence.

Self-Assessment Checklist
Answer the following questions honestly. If you answer "Yes" to three or more of these questions, we strongly encourage you to contact our support team or activate one of bddb's responsible gaming tools as soon as possible.
Do you find yourself spending more time or money on gambling than you originally planned when you started a session?
Have you tried to cut down or stop gambling and found that you were unable to do so, despite a genuine intention to stop?
Do you feel restless, irritable, or anxious when you are not able to gamble, or when you are in the middle of a break from the bddb platform?
Have you borrowed money, sold personal items, or dipped into savings specifically to fund gambling deposits in the past 90 days?
Have close family members, friends, or colleagues expressed concern about the amount of time or money you spend on gambling?
Do you gamble to relieve stress, escape from problems at work or home, or manage feelings of loneliness, boredom, or sadness?
After a losing session, do you feel a strong urge to return immediately to the platform to win back what you have lost, even when you know this is unlikely?
Have you lied to anyone about how much you gamble, how much you have won or lost, or about the fact that you gamble at all?
If you answered "Yes" to 3 or more questions above: Please contact bddb support at [email protected] right away. Our responsible gaming advisors can help you activate deposit limits, a time-out, or a self-exclusion — whichever is most appropriate for your situation. All conversations are treated with complete confidentiality.
